  • Richard is a qualified member of the National Association of Toastmasters, which has a healthy membership up-and-down the country. He is practiced and qualified to manage your day or evening, whether it’s a banquet or a family occasion. In the unlikely event that he is unable to attend due to unforeseen circumstances, he will be able to provide a qualified, fully-briefed replacement, ensuring you are not left without a Toastmaster at your event.

  • Richard’s fee is agreed upon engagement and covers the planning, from the moment we start, to the close of the event. Once we have had our planning meeting, we work towards the timeline that works for you. The fee varies, dependent on the event duration, but the rates are very competitive for the service that Richard provides. We can talk about the fee prior to engagement.

  • Yes, Richard is happy to work anywhere in the UK – there may be (reasonable) travel costs to be considered if much father-afield from the Cambridge area.

  • We will discuss and decide what suits your timeline, agreeing that Richard will be in good time to greet your guests and oversee the smooth running of the day. He usually leaves after announcing the first dance (wedding) or carriages for other functions, if he has a role to play up to that time. Richard will try to visit every venue in advance of the event, to ensure full familiarity with the location, space, staff, etc. If this is not possible, then he liaises with the venue via virtual means.

  • This is Richard’s Toastmaster’s ‘uniform’ – it makes him stand out as the person to go to with any questions, allowing people to find him easily. However, he is happy to wear Black Tie or lounge suit, if this is more appropriate for your event.
